synopsis

As she prepares a sweetcorn salad for her family, Ana sees contradictory reports on television: some people praise the benefits of new transgenic corn varietals, while others raise the catastrophic aspects of this technological progress. She is left puzzled, not knowing what to safely feed her family. But the history of corn goes back much further. It is an integral part of how human civilizations evolved. With ‘Corn’ as its protagonist, this film presents the influence of technology on the lifestyles adopted by human societies, in the past, present and future.
